Tropical Futurology (2021)

Tropical Futurology is a visual manifesto of icons, monuments and imagery that represents the values of a speculative epoch of vegetal reverence.

It’s an exploration of new ways to represent nature based on the experience of being immersed in Costa Rica’s tropical Caribbean. This particular work of exploration dips into the idea of plant as subject. Unfolding like a curtain of icons, revealing a series of constructive capabilities and an attempt to co-create on par with nature and thus designing monuments to the recovery of a ritual existence and re-imagining individuality.
